Behavior Support Services
Behavior Support Services (BSS) are offered to anyone who is affected by social, emotional, and behavioral barriers. The process starts with a Functional Behavior Assessment, during which our team identifies the function or context of each behavior within the natural environment. Following the assessment, our team develops a behavior plan outlining ways to prevent challenging behaviors, teach programs to increase functional skills, and respond to challenges.
We serve both current Itineris clients and outside clients in their day program, employment, community, residential, and/or home setting. Criteria for enrollment include an autism diagnosis, DDA funding, and looking for services in the Baltimore-Metro area.

Services We Offer:
1. Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA): This assessment identifies challenging/unsafe behaviors by collecting and reviewing relevant data, discussing the information with the individual's support team.
2. Development of Behavior Plan: Based on the results of the FBA, an individualized Behavior Plan is developed. This plan outlines strategies to address the identified behaviors, including proactive and reactive approaches, and is written in a person-centered and trauma-informed manner.
3.BSS Consultation: This service involves a qualified clinician overseeing, monitoring, and modifying the Behavior Plan as needed. It can include, 1:1 meetings with the Indvidual or caregiver, team support/staff training
4. Brief Support Implementation Services (BSIS): BSIS is a time-limited service providing direct assistance and modeling to families, agency staff, and caregivers, enabling them to independently implement the Behavior Plan. This service is supported by a Behavior Associate with the Registered Behavior Technician credential
