MADE by Itineris Creative Arts Program
Established in 2012, MADE by Itineris is housed in the Drew Putzel Creative Arts Center and serves as a platform for clients to cultivate their passion for art, and for our artists to master their crafts.
The program provides a recreational/therapeutic opportunity for our clients through creative art, explores art-related vocational opportunities through self-employment ventures, and immerses our artists in Baltimore's art world. MADE by Itineris offers artisan training, opportunities to collaborate with the local art community, transferable vocational skills, and educational and therapeutic classes. Several clients have established successful self-employment ventures through the program.
This program was initiated through a generous donation from the family and friends of Drew Putzel, who passed away in 2012. Drew was a creative young man who loved art and working with his hands. As an adult, he became one of the youngest, most successful producers for some of the top commercials, which can still be seen on TV today. The center at The Pointe in which the art program operates is named in his memory and is a tribute to his life and love of art.
