Itineris utilizes best practices with our person-centered model to guide our employment services. Then we work with each person to identify their preferences, connecting them with employers to find meaningful employment.
Our Customized Employment Strategy
Discovery
An exploration process that is relationship intensive to identify clients’ employment goals. In addition to getting to know each adult we support we incorporate others who have a relationship with the client to build a support team.
JOB DEVELOPMENT
Once Itineris staff has identified preferred areas of interest, we begin working in partnership with each client to identify and develop the resources (resumes, cover letters, informational interviews, trial jobs, etc.) needed to highlight their interest and skills.
JOB MATCH
The next step is connecting clients with paid opportunities or internships that correspond to their skills and interests.
ONGOING JOB SUPPORT
In advance of our clients beginning their new role, we work closely with the employer to determine what ongoing supports are needed to best ensure on the job success. This may include onboarding support and autism specific training for new co-workers.
SELF-EMPLOYMENT
For our clients who have an entrepreneurial spirit, we will assist them in discovering the type of business they are interested in. Once a business idea is determined, we then assist with assessing the feasibility of the business, business development and implementation.
